Horseback Riding Activities for Residents
Lessons and Rides:
For local Hawaii residents we offer private one hour lessons on how to ride the gaited Paso Fino horse. Beginning with an introduction to the Paso Fino and their unique gaits, skills learned will include basic horsemanship and proper equitation, safety procedures, ground handling and riding under saddle, all in the safe confines of our round pen and spacious arena. Open pasture riding will be offered depending on the individual's ability and comfort level. Each lesson is custom tailored to suit the student's individual goals, and is a one-on-one learning experience.
For those who wish to continue advancing their riding skills, we have a selection of pleasure, performance and fino-gaited Paso Finos with progressive levels of Brio to try out.
$68 per person per hour, tax included. Lesson packages, family rates, senior and junior rates available.
Immersion Courses:
Customized immersion courses will be offered to those wishing to take a more fast-track approach to learning gaited riding techniques. Programs from two to five consecutive days available. Best suited for the part-time or neighbor island resident.
Custom Rides:
For our lesson students, we can design a custom ride on-site or off on your favorite Paso Fino! All activites listed on Visitor page also offered.
Ranch Tours:
Rancho Vitorino is always open to visitors wishing to learn more about the breed and our operation. Please call in advance for an appointment.
Clinics and Shows:
We also plan on hosting various clinics with renowned Paso Fino trainers and clinicians at our facility, along with traditional horsemanship events and fun shows. Please check frequently on our website for news and event updates.
